Role Overview
This is a permanent intermediate role combining feature development with guided operational exposure.
The role suits a developer growing into multi‑client environments, integrations and production systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop features using C#, ASP.NET, Blazor
- Build and consume APIs aligned to agreed standards
- Perform integration work using XML and JSON
- Support .NET WinForms components
- Write and maintain SQL / T‑SQL
- Assist with ETL processes and data migrations
- Support CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps
- Assist with deployments to Azure Virtual Machines
- Support application and API security under Azure WAF
- Support and maintain Xamarin Android and iOS applications
- (maintenance only — no new development)
- Provide production support with guidance, including troubleshooting and documenting outcomes
- Support internal client‑facing teams with technical input and clear handovers
- Participate in change control processes with senior guidance (including CAB exposure where required)
- Maintain documentation in XWiki / SharePoint
- Use MantisBT for issue tracking
- Advantageous exposure: assist with Microsoft Defender and Microsoft Intune administration tasks (alert awareness, compliance/configuration support), escalating where appropriate
Required Skills & Experience
- 3–6 years software development experience
- Good C#, ASP.NET knowledge
- Solid SQL / T‑SQL
- API development exposure
- Comfortable with XML and JSON
- Git experience
- Exposure to Azure DevOps
- Understanding of structured releases and production systems
Advantageous
- Azure SQL Managed Instance exposure
- ETL / data migration experience
- Workflow systems and BPMN
- Microsoft Defender / Intune exposure
- Domain exposure: Employee Benefits, Pensions, Group Risk
- JS2 / ISO 27001
